I used most of a skein of Vanna's Choice Baby Yarn in Aqua
I used this pattern:
http://melaniekham.com/free-slightly-slouchy-crochet-hat-pattern/
Begin with a slip knot. Leave a long enough tail for weaving in.
Round 1: Ch 4, slip stitch (sl st) to form a circle
Round 2: Ch 2, 12 half double crochet (hdc) inside the circle, sl st (12 stitches total)
Note:The ch 2 does NOT count as a hdc when you are counting your round for THIS pattern as it “usually” would or could in other patterns. It was creating a little gap, so I made this adjustment
Round 3: ch 2, (2 hdc, hdc 1 and repeat), sl st (18 stitches total)
Round 4: ch2, (2 hdc, hdc 2 and repeat) , sl st (24 stitches total)
Round 5: ch2, (2 hdc, hdc 3 and repeat), sl st (30 stitches total)
Round 6: ch2, (2 hdc, hdc 4 and repeat), sl st (36 stitches total)
Round 7: ch2, (2 hdc, hdc 5 and repeat), sl st (42 stitches total)
Round 8: ch2, (puff 9, 2 puff and repeat). 1 puff stitch in the last remaining stitch, sl st (46 stitches total)
– note… {puff 9 means puff stitch in 9 stitches and 2 puff means 2 puff stitches in the same stitch to increase. see video}
Round 9: ch 2, 1 puff stitch in each stitch (do no slip stitch at the end of the round, just continue with your puff stitch)
Round 10-16 1 puff stitch in each stitch
Round 17: sc in each stitch all the way around (46 stitches)
Round 18: (sc 5, sc decrease and repeat) Ending with the sc 5 (41 stitches)
Round 19: (sc 5, sc decrease and repeat) Ending with the sc 5 (36 stitches) Try on hat in order to make any adjustments.
Round 20!: sc in each stitch all the way around. tie off. weave in ends.
hdc: Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull yarn through stitch, yarn over, draw yarn through all 3 loops on hook
sc: insert hook, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, draw through 2 loops
puff stitch: yarn over, insert hook, yarn over and pull through, yarn over, insert hook, yarn over and pull through, yarn over and draw through the 5 loops on the hook at once.
sc decrease: insert hook, yarn over, pull through, insert hook in NEXT chain, yarn over, pull through, yarn over, draw through 3 loops on your hook (this essentially makes 2 stitches 1 stitch)
